So we’ve had to wait a week before the next match, as it was League Cup action Mid week & of course Wigan got knocked out of that didn’t we. Well probably all the best, what with Gary wanting to concentrate on the League.

So to the 5th League match, sees Wigan play Crewe, simple Train Journey up on Richard’s Train.

Wigan are now 13th on 4 points after a disappointing 2-0 away defeat to now top of the table Gillingham.

Crewe on the other hand are in 20th place with just 2 points from their first 4 games, they too didn’t have a mid week game in the League Cup as they lost 3-1 to Preston. But their last match did see them climb out of the Relegation zone with a 3-3 draw with Bury.

You’d hope this would be a relatively easy Home win for Wigan but stranger things have happened in the last 12 months to predict other wise.

In regards to the Bookies, you can get 1/2 for Wigan, 3/1 for the Draw & 6/1 for Crewe to take all 3 points back on a the Virgin Pendolino Train.  A dour 0-0 is 10/1 & a ‘grinding it out’ deflected own goal off a defenders back side is 6/1 for Wigan to win 1-0.  More frightening on the prospect is 16/1 for Crewe to win 1-0, for some strange reason, it looks like 365 believe Wigan will win this game?

As for me, it has to be 3 points and if Gary’s Training this week returns back to Shoooooting ala Scunthorpe and less Tippy Tappy as in Gillingham & Coventry then I’m confident we’ll end the evening with 7 points & top half of the table.

If this happens TNS will be handing out our official Toilet Roll supplier, Andrex for those Nose Bleeds.
