Jack Green – the run

Jack Green – the run

Thanks for taking the time to read thie following article ….. I’m Jack Green, a 19 year old student at Manchester University, my sister Emily Green, is a 20 year old student at Cardiff Metropolitan. During December last year we both lost someone very precious. Our best friend/hero/Dad. My Dad truely was a great guy.

Twenty’s Plenty

Twenty’s Plenty

It was no coincidence nor a surprise that Wigan Athletic fans snapped up tickets in their droves for this weekend’s Macclesfield cup tie and that they were all sold out in  a few hours. Let’s be honest, even at double the price there still would have been a good take up given the penchant for Latics fans to enjoy a day out in the cup and a refreshing change from the overpriced, sterile and sanitised tedium of Premier League away days. That aside, for all the endless stick that Wigan Athletic gets about it’s home and away support, pricing is a key factor when it comes to determining whether fans can afford to travel or not.

Who mentioned Empty Seats?

Just a reminder that The Empty Seats are doing a Charity Christmas gig at The Honeysuckle pub in Poolstock tomorrow (Saturday 22nd December 2012) from 4pm. As the more observant of you may have noticed this is around about an hour or so after the Arsenal game has finished giving you just enough time to wander over from the DW Stadium and enjoy a bit of festive spirit.

Back with a bang!!

Back with a bang!!

Wigan Athletic tribute band The Empty Seats are back on the road with their lively brand of Latics tailored cover songs. From Ronnie Stam to Torquay Promotion Party to the anthemic We Live in Mudhuts and from what I hear plenty new material, the group are currently rehearsing and getting ready to take the stage once more.
