It’s a slightly depleted crowd given the Latics sat in 24th place when this was recorded but there’s no sombre mood in evidence as Jimmy is joined by Alan and Dylan, who tell us where they’ve been on their holidays and what they’ve brought back for us.
We review the Preston game and look forward to Wolves match with some trepidation, but being a generally positive bunch manage to keep the anti-depressants in our pockets.
There then follows a brief musical interlude from DJ Shadow giving the lads the opportunity to discuss what their favourite album is from the past 20 years
We tackle the question of which former Latics player of the last twenty years would you bring back into the current squad to help us climb the table, which certainly elicits a few leftfield suggestions and there’s the briefest mention of the Ryder Cup, giving Dylan another opportunity to mention his North Korean golf tour along with dog meat pies.
The subject of which Wigan Athletic player you’d like to see made a statue of is quickly hijacked to suggest which fans we’d alternatively like to see immortalised in a statue.
We discuss the demise of Big Sam before contemplating the possible demise of our own manager given some of the calls from certain sections of our support for his head before concluding it’s not quite time yet to wheel out Bruce / Curbs / The Jeweller.
We conclude with some mildly amusing Wolves things, mainly involving their deranged fans before passing out with a bit of uplifting Radio head. WHAT????
