On the clock

Latics are away at Southend which means one of a few things.  You’re either 1) deciding what to do after the full English in your hotel darn sarf, 2) you’re on a four hour drive, 3) you’re stuck in the house because it’s chucking it down outside or 4) you’re looking for something to do instead of shopping or watching your lad play sports in a mud bath.

Either way, we’ve got the solution for you.   Get some Episode 41 of The Pie at Night Podcast into your Saturday morning.

We’ve a pared down cast list this time, Dylan has flown the nest heading to Chad and Ian had stayed at home checking his superbowl stats, so we drafted in Mr “questions for the gaffer” Paul Kendrick.  Or at least we drafted him in just as soon as we could drag him away from the breaking news.

Yes, this was TAKEOVER night, but first there were games against Bournemouth and Gillingham to talk about, Jimmy’s illnesses and being housebound to poke fun at and the question of what Nick Powell can do that Bradley Dack can’t to answer.

Seeing as he was there, we got Paul to bring us up to speed with all things Joseph’s Goal related as well as some big news about April’s Walk4Joseph that leads to a conversation about who’s walked the furthest.

We found time to uncover one of Liverpool’s great lost bands, but not enough to explain why we’re playing THAT song AGAIN.  Proceedings come to a close via some box set chat, brown things and wrap up with some extra Crack(nell).  But, yes, not before we talk about THE TAKEOVER.

Or at least, I think that’s what happened, but maybe not in that order.  Things are still a bit hazy.
