This is your chance to secure one of only 50 copies of the second Pie at Night bobble hat.

The 1992/93 season had seen Latics relegated to the third division. The club was on it’s uppers and a fresh start was required. A new board came in, set about putting the club back on the level and took the bold step of changing the kit.

Since the second world war, Latics had been blue and white. But, for two years, the likes of Neill Rimmer, Andy Lyons, Kevin Langley, Ian Kilford and Pat effing Gavin did their level best in shirts inspired by Italian giants, Inter Milan.

The football might not have lived up to that billing, but they were interesting times that paved the way for the Whelan take over and, ultimately, the premier league.

Our latest bobble pays tribute to this important point in Latics history and is more than worthy of keeping anyone’s (including any Inter fans’) ears warm.

There will only ever be 50 of these made so whether you’re a bobble hat obsessive, have a gap in your wardrobe or know someone special that deserves a lovely treat, get in now before they all go.
