It’s been a truly horrific start to the season for Wigan Athletic, there’s no way around it. We’re staring relegation to League Two in the face unless we start picking up results and picking up those results on a regular basis. The last seven days have been a perfect example of how our season has […]
Night and Day, no not the infamous Oldham Street Manchester venue but the difference between the Wigan Athletic performance against Stockport and Sheffield Wednesday. There was much trepidation heading over the Pennines after the previous Saturday but all of that was dispelled by arguably the best performance of the season. Latics arrived at Hillsborough rock […]
In which, after a two-and-a-half-year hiatus, Jimmy, Alan and Chris carry on like nothing has ever happened in the hope that no one will notice. If they even listen at all, that is. There’s been plenty of water under the bridge since the last time we took to the airwaves and Jimmy bravely starts by […]
It’s been a strange old week. It started full of optimism after a very strong performance against Barnsley in the EFL Cup the previous Saturday that should have never ended in defeat. If anyone had any doubts about Caldwell’s return they only need to watch his two long form interviews with both the BBC and the official club website. Caldwell was as impressive as one […]
“The more things change, the more they stay the same” So the post Lowe era began with less of a bang and more of a whimper – that’s unfair really, there was definite improvements but sadly not enough for a result on the night. Latics started off so brightly in contrast to the last few […]
Two months too late but finally the decision that should have been made has been made. Embarrassing that it took a 6-1 mauling to do it. Rather than any sort of recognition of the malaise we’ve found ourselves in for the majority of this season. A club legend last season who hadn’t seen us in […]
