It’s not the Mudhuts podcast, but it’s all we’ve got. Pie at Night? Pile at Night? Pilot Night? Pilot Light? Pile of S***e?
We don’t know what it is but it’s safe to say there has been a void in our lives in the 8 years since the Mudhuts podcast last hit the streets. There’s strong rumours that it may return soon but here at This Northern Soul we thought it was about time that we jumped back in ourselves with a brand new podcast covering the world of football, music and anything else that takes our fancy.
We’ve deliberately called it a Pilot episode in the hope that the tough crowd out there will be lenient with us but now we’ve actually taken the trouble to record it, well maybe it’s time to feed THE PIE AT NIGHT to the wolves.
Weighing in at just over an hour, we retired to the back room of The Brickmakers Arms to talk all things Latics, past, present and future and ask what drugs Leicester are on. We discuss breakfasts, podcasts and parachute payments, twitter, music and travel along with the reformation of a long lamented Wigan band.
Hosted by two of the names behind TNS – Mudhutter editor Jimmy with tunes by Alan (Neill Rimmers’ Perm) we also invite long time Mudhutter contributors Dylan, Chris and Ian, plus a dog that wandered in halfway through, to share their thoughts on all of the above and more.
We hope you like it, even though we hate the sound of our own voices, and wish we hadn’t said that, put something differently or bothered to bring our notes with us…..
The Pie At Night is an independent podcast with no affiliation to Wigan Athletic, Wigan Rugby, or any book, website, programme or indeed anything else which may or may not have borrowed the name “The Pie at Night”.
