What’s that noise?

It only took two months to get five blokes around the table once more but it’s an eclectic mix consisting of regulars Jimmy, Alan and Ian plus returning global jetsetter, Dylan bearing a gift of a can of VIMPTO from Africa no less.

We also have a new guest in the form of Martin, who was the keeper for the Wigan Athletic supporters team of 23 years and after a brief initiation, he runs us through his Latics watching CV. Most entertaining it is too, from having a kip in the back of Jeff Wright’s car to breaking down on the way back from Maribor.

In a very football heavy podcast (by our standards!) we spend an excessive amount of time poring over our current perilous position with mixed levels of concern about it before a brief spell of boasting about our Christmas dinners and the level of snacks consumed. Then there’s the obligatory moaning about how terrible Christmas telly was and a short FA Cup update, not the whole competition, just our own farcical version of it.

Back to Latics, and we give you our good, bad and ugly ratings of the first team squad for the first half of the season before breaking for some crypticly themed music. We then have a spot of speculating as to what the Royles have been up to in our SPOTTED feature, all completely honest and above board of course.

We’ve just about got some time for some Villa things, including the unlikely appearance of some cup final programmes, before briefly deciding whether we should feel sorry for Bolton given comedy Ken Anderson’s latest offerings.

We finish up with news of a charity walk to Leeds in aid of Joseph’s Goal and an Abba cabaret night coming up before finishing, quite aptly with the sound of silence.
