All we keep hearing is when’s the fanzine out, well the answer to that is the QPR game because in true rebellious, shambolic fashion, we haven’t started it yet. But never mind, if you haven’t yet caught it, we did manage to produce a Summer Special, 36 pages of mostly original content available FREE to you dear reader in a free online format which can download and read at your leisure.
What’s in it? Well, we of course digest the matters that mattered during last season on and off the football pitch but as ever, we cover much, much more than that as Finton relives his childhood musical memories in WN5 and Tony Topping tells us about his favourite childhood football games. We take a highly detailed look at the rivalry between Wigan Athletic and Wigan Warriors and discuss the history and future of fanzines in Wigan. We take a visit back to Springfield Park and compare Bramall Lane 2007 to the Britannia Stadium 2011. Neill Rimmer’s Perm reviews the progress of the football club whereas Livesey takes a look at Spanish football and of course there’s one or two of your regular features in there including Tat’s fantastic cartoons.
