Gillingham vs Wigan – Match Preview

Author: No Comments Share:

So to the 4th game in League 1 and Wigan are away to Gillingham.

Wigan off the back of a 3-0 thumping of Scunthorpe moving them up to 11th place in the table, a height in the table last seen early in 2014. They now have a full set of results after 3 games with the win obviously, a draw vs Doncaster & an opening day defeat to Coventry. Hoping that Gary sticks with the same 11 that played against Scunthorpe and we win 2 on the spin with what would be a good away win in light of Wigan’s recent History.

Gillingham on the other hand will hope for an easy Home win, sitting 2nd in the table after 3 games, with 2 wins vs Sheffield United & Bradford and a draw vs Port Vale. Their only worry is all the teams they’ve played so far have not been able to win a game in 9 matches, so could they be a team that is flattering to deceive?

Introducing you to a new Site I’ve found over the Summer is ‘Win Draw Win’!  They provide the expected Bookies data on the match, but they also have a vote on how the punters see the game going & they are in fact going for a Wigan away win, were as the site believes the game will end in a draw:

Wigan have seen the loan of Everton’s Júnior extended until Mid January, so if we see the same 11 start for this game as they did for Scunthorpe, you’ll probably start to see some belated confidence in Wigan’s fans start to flow through their veins:

01 O’Donnell
26 Kenny
20 Morgan
05 Daniels
02 James
22 Francisco Júnior
04 Perkins
07 McCann
17 Jacobs
09 Grigg
10 Davies

Well let us just see?

Quietly confident.

Andy
