It appears that the Wigan Athletic legend that is Glen Buckley will be returning to these shores shortly to take control of team matters in order to guarantee top flight safety, here is how he plans to do it …

Hi Bernard, will be home shortly. Tthought I had better come back and oversee the safety push.  Meeting with Martinez during the week prior to the Blackpool game to pick the team for him!  

Methven and Fretwell, Hinnigan at left back and the vastly experienced Buckley at right back, with the solid Brown between the sticks.  Kelly and Rimmer in the engine room with Purdie and Gore providing the crosses for Houghton and Graeme Jones to finish them off. 

If all is not looking good, Les Bradd and Bobby Campbell will be thrown on to scare them to death!

Good old fashioned Wigan blood and snot is required with no quarter needed nor expected…

Couldn’t agree more Glen.  We’ll have to sort a pint or two out when you get back to good old Blighty!  I’m sure a few of the lads here and myself can think of a place to do it.
