Wigan completed their pre-season training camp with a win over Ostersunds in a game played over two thirty five minute periods.
Three Latics fans made the journey to the game enduring long bus rides and beer at £7.50 a pint to watch a Wigan side made up of established first teamers, squad players and promising youngsters.
Latics started brightly and displayed slick passing, a testimony to the benefits gained from the week long training camp. This style of football bore fruit when a neat flick on from
Di Santo found Moses who opened the scoring.
Ostersunds battled gamely and were awarded a penalty early in the second half which Shaaze put past new signing Al Habsi. Latics were not to be denied and Boselli showed his undoubted if unfulfilled potential in a Wigan shirt by sealing the win.
Players used,
Al Habsi, Gohuri, Jones, Figueroa, McArthur, Gomez, Mustoe,
McCarthy, Moses, Boselli, Di Santo, Sammon.
Man of Match….Conor Sammon worked hard and linked up well
with Boselli.
