Last day in the TNS Office before we break up for Christmas, it’s Christmas Jumper day today, so we have the usual designs, Martin’s has Guinness on the front, Wolf’s has a picture of a Humbug Sweet and Peter’s shows Bob Cratchit.
As for the mood in the office it is one of good spirits and happy tidings for all at this festive time of the year, but then there is a hint of gloom with the recent run of poor results & the fact some Italian Character is indeed Ebenezer Scrooge and screwing the fans out of scandalous amounts of money to watch 2 really shit teams over Christmas.
In light of this & the fact none at TNS will be watching the game, the Match Preview will be short, as too the future match article. Also remember to give to ‘The Brick‘ project as part of the Charity TNS is supporting.
So it’s the 23rd game in the Sky Bet Championship. Wigan Athletic will be playing Leeds United at Elland Road, match will be played on Friday the 26th December and kick off will be 3pm.
As I’ve said 2 really shit teams at the moment and their league place shows, Wigan are in 23rd with just 17 points and Uwe got most of those, Leeds are in 18th with 24 points, top of the table are Bournemouth with a fantastic 42 points.
Looking at recent form coming into this game, it’s not good reading for either team, the last 6 games, Wigan are 24th & Leeds 16th in the form table:

- Leeds P 6 W 2 D 1 L 3
Previous Games between the 2, there haven’t been many, they also cost a lot less to watch, in all there’s been 8 games, Wigan have won 4, Leeds 2 and there have been 2 draws. Thanks from Cockney Latic for the info.
Referee for the game will be Nigel Miler, assistants will be Neil Davies & Graeme Fyvie and the 4th bloke will be Darren Handley.
The bookies see a Home win, with 44% seeing Leeds take 3 points and shed load of money from the fans, 29% see an Away win (too much sherry) and 27% see this match ending in a draw.
As for the game, I want to see Leeds United stuff Wigan Athletic 6-0, so we can get rid of this Manager who the players can’t respect due to his baggage and the fact he likes to be seen in alleged Casinos at 4am with beautiful ladies.
Oh and if this scenario comes about and we have to choose a 4th Manager in less than 18 months, can someone else pick him, please.
