Following his decision to turn his back on England, Wigan Athletic striker Victor Moses is poised for his first senior start for Nigeria.
Although he has appeared for the England Under 21’s team, it is thought that he was unhappy with a lack of progress towards becoming a member of the full international squad. Early last week he made the decision to commit his international career to the ‘Super Eagles’ and the move already looks to have paid dividends.
Speaking of Victor’s upcoming Nigeria debut, the team’s assistant manager Simon Kalika, has gone on record stating,
“We have called up Moses for this weekend’s match against Ethiopia after we made a couple of changes in the squad, he was on our standby list, and after we released two of our call-ups to the Olympic team who will also be in action this weekend, we decided to invite.”
Everyone at TNS wishes Vic well with his international career and his agent, Tony Finnigan is delighted that the Wigan Athletic football club are also fully behind one of their hottest prospects
