The Vanaram Conference (Div5) has decreed a sensible step to allow 3G pitches to be used in all three of it’s divisions from next season.
This decision is hot on the heels that in March that 3G pitches will be allowed in all rounds of the FA Cup from the start of the 2014-15 season.
It should help the pyramid clubs below Div5 + N&S to invest in the 3G pitch system then they can use them for all week for community use, plus very few postponed matches.
That in turn guarantees a steady income to the clubs which is vital for the grassroots of the game.
Minister for Sport Helen Grant said.
“I’m delighted the Football Conference has decided to allow 3G pitches, it’s fantastic that the Conference are now taking this sensible step.”
