The Calm after the Storm

Welcome to The Pie At Night podcast episode eight, the one where, you’ll be pleased to know, we don’t mention burgers, or cutlery.

With Alan and Dylan still AWOL and John Coyne still on his two episode residency, Jimmy, Chris and Ian take the opportunity to discuss John’s time at Latics, life as an Everton fan under Roberto Martinez and their prospects under Farhad Moshiri and Ronald Koeman.

After a musical interlude, talk turns to reality TV and Ian’s sequins fetish before we find out what the lads have done on their summer holidays, including shocking praise for a place with the letters B.O.L.T.O.N. in its name.

Things then get back on track with our latest trip to the Emporium of Sh*te.  It’s the letter E and whilst one of the worst players to pull a Latics shirt on features, it’s an FA Cup hero that will grab all the attention.  John isn’t left out as he gets the chance to talk terrible Everton players and Ian makes a Freudian slip that no one notices (at the time)

Things come to a close as the lads discuss some Preston things and we find out which Nob End star will never be as good as Gary Stevens.
