The Comings and Goings

For the first time since promotion to the Premier League we have only lost one first team player in the summer transfer market, that was the lost of Luis Valencia to Manchester United for a rumoured fee of £16 Milllion. The other players to go Camara, Siberski, and Montrose will not affect us greatly but the lost of Camara is somthing i feel should have not happen.

He was a great servent for the club and when he played last season he looked like a rejuvinated player with, pace, agility, determination and and eye for goal all replenished. So why on earth Bruce loaned him out instead of keeping him at the club and soring out a new contarct bafails me. Really makes no sense he would have been a great player to bring on for the last 30-20 minutes of matches to live the strike force up, especialy with the problems with Mido and Zaki.

Players who have been on and off going out included Melchiot, Cattermole, Bramble, Scharner and Kapo all now seem happy at the club and Sunderland “no” believe it or not mean you can’t have him and you never will get our Cat.

On players coming in we have had a very productive summer adding youth and experience to a squad final we are starting to strength our squads depth with decent players. Gomez and Scotland both coming in from Martinez’s former squad are great edditions if anyone saw them play last year for Swansea you will know what i mean, the fast flowing football generaly flowed from Gomez to Scotland.

James McCarthy an eddtion from North of the boarder attacking natured midfielder with a great chance of giving us that creative edge we have lacked really since Bullard left.

And another saga signing in Hendry Thomas, a player follwed for a year since Bruces arival at the club, he was nearly brought in last summer but due to permit problems it as taken longer, lets hope he follows on from where Palacios stopped after is move to Tottenham. While he should fit in better at the club with a spanish speaking manager and aslo Figs still being at the club.

Yesterday we where supposedly in the market for three players and one has been confirmed the signing of Scot Sinclair from Chelsea on a season long loan, now someone tell me we do have the option to buy him fully sorted. The young striker/winger as been a loanee mover for some time not haveing a real chance to break into the Chelsea. The other two players was very strong links and that is the signings of Mohammed Diame a 22 year old midfield player who was rumoured to have been ready to sign earlier in the summer, he has been tracked by many top clubs including Arsenal and Liverpool, and Antonio Amayo the 26 year old defender who will help to give cover to Bramble and his fellow cenetr backs. Both players are belived to have cost £3.5 million and move are belived to have agreed personal fees.
