Today is the day

The waiting is done & dusted, today is the day.

Wallchart is on the fridge, the previews in the official handbook,  World Soccer & When Saturday Comes plus the excellent BBC on-line information have been read & digested.

I really hope the hype is turned into reality and we have a feast of football, the hosts are favorites, now that’s a surprise but as a “dark horse” to reach the semi’s I reckon that Chile will be in with a shout.

(A small wager was placed back in January on La Roja,  it should easily pay for my season ticket if it comes to fruition.)

Although in a tough group along with Australia, Netherlands & Spain I can forsee one of Europes BIG two failing to get into the knockout stage.
