Big Cola has become a partner of four English Premier League clubs, the soft drink company announced yesterday.

The firm has signed one-year contracts with Everton, Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion and Wigan Athletic worth a total of 300 million baht, (six million pounds) said Jorge Lopez Doriga, Big Cola chief marketing executive. 

Chanin Tiencharoen, marketing director of Aje Thai which produces Big Cola, said Big Cola will try to seek more opportunities in sports in Europe and America. Big Cola has already been a sponsor of the English Football Association and its national team. It also ran several campaigns to bring Thai fans to watch FA Cup and England’s matches last season.

The club have not mentioned just how much their cut of the sponsorship deal actually is, but providing that the revenue generated is split evenly, the deal will be the biggest in the Wigan Athletic’s history.
