A German Sojurn…..a diary of four Latics fans abroad

Brain Musgrave, intrepid Latics fan and friend of TNS has very kindly done a blog of his ten day trip to Germany

Day 1 …….Friday 25th July 2014

An insane pick up for the fight to Dusseldorf at 8.15 saw us almost miss the flight with extra security measures at Manchester Airport causing delays in us reaching the gate. We made it …just.

Arrive in Dusseldorf airport at 10.40am and then take the sky train into Dusseldorf itself. On arriving in the city there was then a debate about what to do next. Decide to take a taxi to our hotel base where we check in, deposit our belongings in reception as our rooms weren’t ready and go for a walk around the city for a couple of hours.

Returned to the hotel for 3pm where we check in and get changed ready for an afternoon, and evening of food and drink in the heat  in the old town by the river Rhine with at least one member of our party having to be escorted back to the hotel very very late.
