Are we still on the Premier League NewsNow then?

It would appear so. Congratulations to Crystal Palace who won promotion to the Premier League earlier this afternoon. I’m sure not too many of us will mourn the fact we won’t be having to travel to deepest, darkest Croydon next season.

Let’s therefore have a quick run down of the teams we will be facing in next year’s gruelling 46 game campaign (+ Charity Shield + League Cup campaign + FA Cup retention attempt + EUROPA LEAGUE COMPETITION)

Nevertheless, here is the bread and butter opposition pigeonholed into easily stereotyped categories:

THE HOTLY CONTESTED LOCAL DERBIES

Bolton

Blackburn

Burnley

Blackpool

THE TASTY AWAY  DAY / WEEKENDERS

Brighton (NEW GROUND KLAXON!)

Bournemouth

Yeovil (NEW GROUND KLAXON!)

THE SLUMBERING GIANTS

Forest

Derby

Leeds

Leicester

Middlesbrough

Sheffield Wednesday

Ipswich

Birmingham

MUMSNET FC’S

Reading

QPR

Watford

BIG VERN COCKNEY W**KERS

Millwall

Charlton

THE ROSES RETURNS

Barnsley

Huddersfield

Doncaster (NEW GROUND KLAXON)

See that’s not so bad is it?
