So back in September I did an TNS article explaining with just statistics, how I saw Wayne Rooney getting to 50 England goals by the San Marino game.
Of course 50 is a nice round number, but will also break a record that has stood since the 20th May 1970, Bobby Charlton’s 49th goal in a friendly against Columbia in Bogotá.
As England play that match this weekend, here’s the article as a reminder, if you do read I got a few things wrong, but hopefully not the 50.
Come on Wayne, do it for England, Records are there to be broken.
Wayne Rooney gets to 50 England goals, Celebration or Derision?
