Atletico v Real

First apologies for the lateness of the posting but I put the wrong draft date on and it never appeared when it should have.

Many words especially with the daily newspapers over in Spain have been written about this eagerly awaited clash so a full preview really isn’t necessary at this late stage.

The Los Colchoneros (The Mattressers) are rated as underdogs against the likes of  Los Blancos (The Whites) however it is a two horse race, old cliche i know but with the pressure on Los Merengues (The Meringues) especially CR7 tears if they win, tears if they lose the Los Rojiblancos (The Red-and-Whites) have well more than a sporting chance of victory.

Back in July last year, the 2nd to be precise the first qualifying round kicked off and now it is the climax in the wonderful Estadio da Luz sometimes also called The Cathedral by the fanatical Benfica supporters.

Looking forward to this immensely, as ever I want the underdogs to win but more importantly is for it to be a football spectacle to showcase to the world that the game is alive & well & thriving despite the embarrassment of over paid prim donas before the main event in Brazil.
