Did you hear the one about the ex-footballer who challenged two hungry Wiganers to an eating challenge? Well, after the debacle of John Coyne’s first visit to the the Pie at Night “studio” that’s exactly what happened and although eating habits, the passage of time and a growing attendee list meant that the challenge never quite happened, Episode 26 of the pie at night podcast was born.
We’re in Abel Heywood, on the fringes of Manchester’s Northern Quarter, again and the boy’s minds turn inevitably to food; tea parties, pizzas and customised ale all come into conversation.
