This Northern Soul contributor and Mudhutter editor Jimmy recently met up with Barca Jim of The Football Flush and spent an hour talking about his thirty years watching Wigan Athletic and writing about the club.
In what is both a revealing, fascinating and depressing hour, he talks about his hopes and fears for the club, the journey it has been on and where he thinks it will all end up. How do we stop the rot? Is the club in terminal decline? Do we just need to start again? And what was the second biggest goal we scored in the FA Cup?
The “Wigan Story” is definitely one of the most interesting ones of the past few decades in football but it is a story that seems to be rapidly taking a turn for the worse.
In a rare audio interview, Jimmy talks openly about Rosler, Whelan and Mackay live from Sinclairs Oyster Bar in Manchester.
