Well due to our lofty status we forsake the first round of the League Cup which has now been re-branded “The Capital One Cup”
Highlight of the draw must be the match between new to the football league Fleetwood Town versus ex Champions of Europe Nottingham Forest.
It is all set to kick-off week commencing 13 August, however the Football League in their wisdom will consider requests to play on Saturday 11 or Sunday 12 should clubs mutually agree about it.
All the Premier League clubs will enter the competition in the second round except for the seven teams that have qualified for Europe but also including last season’s League Cup winners Liverpool.
