No, not even we’re that obvious, but hey, let’s hope we’ve a few ‘Wild Rovers’ on our hands come tea time (note – our political correctness department have insisted I point out they’d be wild because they’re cross at losing, not because we’re encouraging hooliganism or casting aspersions about people from East Lancashire). No, today’s theme picks up from NRP’s match preview and the idea that the Coyler should just realise that he’s onto a good thing after Thursday’s game and stick with the plan.
Knee Socks (live) – Arctic Monkeys
This is the penultimate track from the other ‘tics new long player and I absolutely love it (along with the other 11 tracks), which is more than I can say for my feelings towards Owen Coyle. Still there’s good news for the knee sock wearing lummox, I wasn’t too sure the first time I listened to AM, so there’s a chance yet
Curtis Mayfield – Keep On Keeping On
I’ll tell you what else I absolutely love, the phrase “keep on keeping on” no idea why, I just do. But it’s apt, because after eleven games of huffing and puffing Latics seem to have hit onto a rich seam of something and should bloody we’ll stick to it. I also absolutely love Curtis Mayfield and if you out these two things together then you get a perfect piece of gold to start off your Sunday – don’t spoil it Owen.
Neil Young – Rocking in the Free World
To keep the theme going, here’s some for warty old Neil Young, who I absolutely love too, the message is the same, keep on doing what you’re doing and, erm, we’ll all be rocking tonight.
Until next time – Sin Mitrousers
