So just as Wigan go in to a crucial match against Newcastle United, distracting headlines are focusing on where Roberto Martinez could be come August?

Also our Number 21 may be seen driving down the East Lancs in May, to go and play football next season @ Goodison Park?

The Senegalese player has been in and out of the Wigan squad this season, playing 18 matches, 8 of these as a Sub, all in the Premier League.  He’s had time away with the African Cup of Nations this season and he’s also had to deal with an injury/fatigue on the return from that competition.

Diame joined Wigan from Rayo Vallecano in 2009, making his debut against Manchester United, his 3rd season see’s his contract finish this summer.

Let’s see if Moyes adds him to his squad for next season?
