The sun is out (for a little while) latics’ first major blip of the season is behind us and it’s time to look ahead to the distraction of the FA Cup.
Whilst 20 thousand fans, on a wet, cold, Monday night in February might not match the buzz of the FA Cup final, our next opposition makes it hard not to think back to that one day in May. To a man, woman and child we went into that day just wanting to enjoy the occasion and, boy, did we enjoy it.
We’re still enjoying it, in fact, which is why we’re celebrating Monday’s cup fever with a t-shirt commemorating the goal that won our tin pot club the most famous tin pot in football.
