Nottingham Forest beckons for Latics in second round of the Capital One (League) Cup

Wigan Athletic have been handed an away tie against two time European champions Nottingham Forest in the second round of the League Cup.

Latics will be locking horns against a team that they have never beaten when they travel to West Bridgford in a bid to reach the following round of a competition in which they were losing finalists in 2006.

The two clubs have met on only four occasions all in Division One/The Championship and the games have resulted in 3 draws and a 1-0 win for Forest on 5th January 2005 at the City Ground.
