Arouna Kone is a Latic!

Sky Sports News is reporting the fact that Wigan Athletic have completed the signing of Levante striker Arouna Kone.

It is believed he has signed a three year deal at the club with Latics paying three and a half million euros for his services.  Kone, who only signed for Levante from Sevilla a month ago, has represented his country, the Ivory Coast on 35 occasions, netting 9 goals in the process.  He is a more than able replacement for Hugo Rodallega who ‘upped sticks’ last month to sign for Fulham, who ironically were at one stage in the hunt for Kone. Other clubs also coveting the strong attack minded hitman were Tottenham Hostspur, Aston Villa and Sunderland.

Having previously played in Belgium, Holland, Germany and Spain he now wants to make a name for himself in the greatest league in the world.  All at TNS wish him the best of luck in his quest to score the goals that will guarantee that Latics stay in this league for many more years yet!
