Yep, it’s a COVID-19 special. Quite possibly, the only time you will hear the words going viral associated with this podcast. We’re back in virtual form after a long absence. We talk panic buying and more importantly, what we think Latics players and officials are buying right now. Time to take stock of where we […]
It will come as no surprise that unfortunately we have taken the decision to postpone this year’s walk given the current climate. It is looking increasingly likely that if we walked to Barnsley we would have no match to watch when we got there. It would also be irresponsible to have up to 80 people […]
As if there wasn’t enough reasons to hate Millwall, they also managed to let me down on my coupon last weekend by winning away at Preston. I have also filed this under my extensive “reasons to hate Preston” list for good measure, why couldn’t they be useless the week before? The thing is, without ever […]
Oliver Langford? We’d have been better off with Bonnie Langford reffing us. So I uttered after the game, probably for the first time, since the last time we played them. In a small sense, it was reassuring to see the fans take out their displeasure on the man with the whistle rather than the players […]
We played Leeds yesterday, and somehow Wigan Athletic won a football match. Against Leeds. At Elland Road. Again! You may remember last time we played there. It was a memorable day for all kinds of reasons but sixty or so people who took time off work and walked fifty eight excruciating miles over three days, have […]
I was going to let it lie but I feel the need to say my piece. Last night, social media was an angry place. I get it, our record is appalling and whereas I have never been one to scream for a manager’s head, it is beyond any rationale that Paul Cook still has a […]
Welcome to the podcast that is marginally more appealing than rats hung up at a service station. We sum up our Christmas cheer, before suggesting some helpful New Year’s Resolutions that Paul Cook might like to adopt. Following that, we begin to discuss THE FOOTBALL. And yes it is grim as you like, with one […]
Welcome to Episode 66 of the Podcast in which Jimmy, Alan, Chris and Luke talk around the elephant in the room waiting for someone to scream “COOK OUT”. There’s New Year’s resolutions. Made up stats, TV and Brexit flavoured train tapas. Oh, and V… A… effin R. Of course there’s way too much football. You […]
If the season so far was a film, it would probably be The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. I don’t get carried away when we win, and I don’t get carried away when we lose, and I find that is a pretty useful philosophy to follow given the hysteria which surrounds modern day football. […]
Well, that was quite a break wasn’t it? Anyway, we are back from our extended jaunt to comb over the end of the season. So where have we been: we’ve walked to Leeds, we’ve had our end of season do when we were joined by a couple of lunatic Icelandic Latics fans, ate bountiful amounts […]
