I know, I know, George Best did not play for Wigan Athletic and Manchester United.
Belfast born George is of course a footballing legend, but very few people know that his professional career came to an end at AFC Bournemouth. Fewer people still realise that his last professional game was played against Latics on 7th May 1983 in a Third Division fixture at Dean Court!
I can also boast of the fact that I was at this historic game.
