While Andy’s away the crumbs tell a tale.

While Mr Lloyd is wandering around old London town looking for streets of gold and dubious visits to Soho for reference on quota’s I have the key to the petty cash and more importantly the locker key as well were the chocolate hob-nobs are kept at the TNS office.

Plus I get to sit in “the chair”, if you have ever watched Friends think of Joeys chair and you will get the picture, plus he has a wireless mouse instead of all that mess of cable around his glass topped desk.

The 7th Premiership game of the season see’s the visit of a buoyant Evertonian outfit at The DW Stadium.

David Moyes team has made a very impressive start to the campaign and will be expecting to take all three points back down the East Lancs.

The only blips this season have been an away defeat to Leeds United in the League Cup Capital One Cup, an away loss at The Hawthorns and a home draw against The Barcodes.

Four wins have seen them settle into a deserved second place in the table and with twelve goals scored the away support in the North Stand will be seeking more.

The corresponding fixture last season saw a 1-1 draw with a Phil Neville own goal in front of 18,340 spectators.

Lets hope the referee live up to his name as Kevin Friend is in charge of the whistle and no doubt ably supported by his assistant’s, John Flynn, Mark Scholes (no relation to Paul) and the 4th mon Lee Mason.

On the injury front Latics still have concerns over Anton Alcaraz while Stephen Naismith & Terry Hibbet are both back in contention for the visitors, plus with his red card being rescinded marmite man Jordi Gomez is available for the match.

Because of the internationals our next game is in a fortnights time down in The Valleys, so avoiding another loss really is a priority to stop the rot of depressing defeats, which when analysed have not really been deserved.

As one eloquent poster on the forum here at TNS put it “and don’t give them any free kicks just outside the box for Baines to smack in.”
