Wigan Athletic FC were delighted to welcome Braiden-Lee Prescott to Sunday’s Barclays Premier League match against Chelsea at the DW Stadium, a local boy who has been diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma.

Braiden-Lee is two years old, who was diagnosed with the rare children’s cancer in February this year and is in urgent need of specialist treatment in the United States in order to continue progressing through his recovery.

In order to make what could be a life-saving journey to Philadelphia Braiden-Lee’s family need to raise around £250,000 and have under 100 days to do so, appealing to the local community and beyond to help their little boy.

There are a number of ways you can help. Special Braiden-Lee Prescott wristbands have been made and are available for just £2.00 by calling 07938370874, or to simply make a donation that will make a huge difference go online to www.justgiving.com/braiden-lee-prescott-appeal

A fundraiser has also been arranged on August 4 at 6.30pm at Leigh Miners Amateur Rugby League Club, with a ‘bushtucker trial’ competition, raffles, a DJ and lots of family fun in an attempt to reach the money Braiden-Lee desperately needs.

Tickets are priced at £2.00 for adults and 50p for children by calling the above number, or available at £2.50 for adults and £1.00 for children on the night, with wristbands also available to purchase.

All at TNS hope that Braiden Lee and his family achieve their goals.
