Not sure if Roberto will turn up, apparently he is going to be asked! So arrangements are well on the way for the annual Peter Catterall Trophy charity match which last season raised money for The Emma Hoolin appeal.
The game once again will be played at Brocstedes Park, home of Ashton Athletic, which is at Downall Green in Ashton in Makerfield.
Friday 12th October 2012 is looking like the date but it does depend on both clubs commitments nearer the time.
However it is from a “good source” as they say, behind the scenes the Latics Past Players Association & the committee at AAFC are working, phoning, texting & emailing 24/7 to ensure another quality evening with good football, great company with a superb clubhouse to enjoy it all before, during & after the game.
Of course if there is any change to the date or the timings are formally announced we’ll let you know here on TNS as soon as possible.
