LATICS PLAYERS SPREAD SOME CHRISTMAS CHEER
The whole of the Wigan Athletic squad has been out and about in Wigan helping to give something back to their community as the season of goodwill is upon us.
Armed with Christmas presents that the players had paid for themselves, they visited Willow Grove and Hope Schools and made their annual pilgrimage to Wigan Hospital.
Speaking of the reasons why the team undertake these types of visits every single year Gary Caldwell said,
“This is one of the best days of the year, when we can make a small difference to people’s lives in the town. It’s a privilege to be able to go and meet the children and the smiles on their faces say everything. As a squad, we also need to congratulate the staff at these places, who are truly wonderful people.”
No doubt the time and gifts that the players of the club have given freely this week is also appreciated by everybody they came into contact with. Long may this festive tradition of the club supporting the local community continue!
