Wigan Athletic have completed the signing of Aberdeen midfielder Fraser Fyvie.

He has signe d athree year deal at the DW Stadium and the fee that Latics have paid Aberdeen is undisclosed.  The 19 year-old central midfielder has earned many plaudits following his performances for the Dons since making his debut in 2008 at the tender age of 16.

His debut against Hamilton Academical made him the youngest player ever to start for Aberdeen, and he would go on to break more records north of the border by becoming the SPL’s youngest ever goalscorer, finding the back of the net against Hearts in 2010 at Tynecastle.

A cruciate ligament injury ruled him out for much of the 2010-11 campaign, but he returned to action last season and showed the kind of form that has impressed many and took his Aberdeen career total to 58 league appearances and two goals – the other strike coming against Dunfermline last season.

Fraser has represented his country, Scotland at Under Under-15, Under-16, Under 17 and Under 19 level.
