The most important game in the history of Wigan Athletic FC to date will be broadcast live next weekend by SKY TV.

Having dumped West Ham United into the Championship yesterday, Latics will be aiming not to join them next Sunday.  The game will kick off at 4-00pm at the Britannia Stadium, at the same time that all the other games that will be taking place on the day.

The stakes are tremendously high with any one of five clubs in the position of facing the heartbreak of relegation on the final day of a season gripped by the fever of the bottom eight clubs’ survival battle for most of the campaign.

Three points taken from the FA Cup finalists may well be enough to secure a seventh successive top flight season for the club that up until now simply refuses to inject their brand of honesty and hard work in a League run by big money and bigger ego’s.
