Wigan Athletic’s cult band ‘The Empty Seats’ are busy recording an FA Cup/Relegation scrap CD!
The boys are expecting their recording to be available in the next few weeks and is a must to be played on the coaches down to Wembley for the historuc FA Cup Semi Final (and Final hopefully)! Rob Podmore. lead guitarist of the ‘Empties’ has informed TNS that the CD is set to include ‘I’m A Believer’, ‘Come On You Latics’ and a rocked up versuion of ‘You Are My Sunshine’.
The band are hoping that the CD will become an all time Latics favourite and the are only too pleased to lend their support for the next two months that will certainly result in nhistory being made one way or the other. The Empty Seats need no introduction to the Latics faithful as they were formed to help with the ‘Anthony Ramsdale Appeal’ which was a resounding success. They later supported the ‘Emma Hoolin Appeal’ and are now Supporters Club favourites, appearing regularly in front of the Latics supporters.
The ‘Empties’ really are a band who we all, as Latics supporters, should take to our hearts. This club or at least we the supporters, are lucky to have them and this new release gives us all the chance to once again ‘Progress With Unity’ as our club motto proudly suggests.
Keep your ears pricked up and crank up the volume in the coach or your cars down the M6 to Wembley with the ‘Empty Seats’ cumming in your ears (ooh err missus)!
