Right, hopefully that’s got your attention, now onto business.
Why are we doomed? Well we’re not, but I reckon that’s the most common prediction we’ve heard from Latics fans over the last five or six seasons so it’s a totally appropriate introduction to a plug for our prediction league. Patent Predictions has been running for five weeks now and because a) we’re all rubbish but mostly b) there’s ages to go in the season, it’s still worth your while to join in.
The point of the competition is to help our esteemed (yeah right) administrator NeilRimmersPerm select three results for a bet each week, yes he’s that indecisive. What’s in it for you is the chance to win half of any profits he makes over the season.
All you have to do is sign up for the messageboard and post your predictions on the appropriate thread. This week’s is here:

You get 2 points for predicting a correct score and one point if you just get the correct result. All the points are added up into a league table and any profit will be divvied up amongst the people at the top.
It really is that simple and whilst you’re joining in the competition feel free to have a look around the rest of the board and chat with the rest of the members, I can promise that only some of them bite.
