AFC Fylde – pre season friendly with Wigan Athletic arranged

Sources at AFC Fylde are reporting that the club will be playing a friendly against Wigan Athletic on 20th July 2012.  The club, based at Kellamergh Park, have released the following statement on the club’s official website…

“The game is being played on the Friday in a bid to attract sports enthusiats who are tourists visiting the Open Championships at Royal Lytham the same week – who know’s we maybe able to attract some leading golfers to the game!

“Wigan Athletic have had a fantastic end to the Premiership season and Dave Challinor knows the coaching team of Graeme Jones and Graham Barrow well and that’s where the link came from when organising the fixture”.
