Coming soon your new and improved Mudhutter

It’s not really new and improved but I have to put that in the vain hope that all the kiddies reading Newsnow might click on it instead of flicking past to read the 18th b***ocks story of the day that the Geordie press are fabricating about James McCarthy leaving for a cut price deal of three clippercards and a Pizza Express two for one voucher.

We are back though and currently putting together our first issue of the season in readiness for the second home game of the season on Saturday 24th August 2013

To all our dedicated contributors out there, the deadline for you is Monday 12th August. Every issue sees new writers putting pen to paper to Mudhutter on any subject of their choice and all views are welcome from anyone who cherishes Wigan Athletic or any other subject dearly enough to make the effort.

The printed word is undergoing a rebirth right now with new football fanzines emerging from Barnsley to Motherwell and we are proud to be part of that movement. We are fortunate enough to have over 50 postal subscribers to Mudhutter from Melbourne to San Francisco to Beech Hill and are now offering up our season long subscriptions for 2013/14.

The magazine now costs £1.20 to post out, that’s two first class stamps. Yes – first class stamps are 60p each, who’d have thowt it? So we have to cover our costs. However, we are happy to offer our subscribers a generous discount and a little added bonus as well in return for you parting for your wedge up front.

We are aiming to do five issues again this season so that’s £10 worth of mags and £6 worth of postage. We’ll do the lot for £8 & £4, that’s £12 altogether to you dear reader.

We are also working on our digital offering over at and hope to offer a digital subscription in due course but for all our print subscribers we will open up our digital archives for completely free so that you can read all available back issues online as well.

If you wish to take out a postal subscription then just click here to visit the Mudhuts shop:

Or if you’re looking for something to read sooner than that our last issue, the ever so opportunist FA Cup winning special has all but sold out but you can download a digital version for your iPad here
