Well Roy has done it, he’s named his England squad for the European Championship in Poland & Ukraine.
He’s gone as expected for 23 blokes from around the Premier League!
So are these are the ones who’ll march into Poland & Ukraine to win the European Championship?
Well that’s what Roy hopes! We do too, so let’s have a look at who he’s selected?
Goalkeepers:
Joe Hart – Man City, Rob Green – West Ham & John Ruddy – Norwich
Defenders:
Glen Johnson – Liverpool, Phil Jones – Man United, John Terry – Chelsea, Joleon Lescott – Man City, Gary Cahill – Chelsea, Ashley Cole – Chelsea & Leighton Baines – Everton
Midfielders:
Theo Walcott – Arsenal, Stewart Downing – Liverpool, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – Arsenal, Steven Gerrard – Liverpool, Gareth Barry – Man City, Frank Lampard – Chelsea, Scott Parker – Tottenham, Ashley Young – Man United & James Milner – Man City
Forwards:
Wayne Rooney – Man United, Danny Welbeck – Man United, Andy Carroll – Liverpool & Jermain Defoe (Tottenham)
As you can see no Wigan players, well Emile did leave a while back!
So we’ll just have to see how the squad shapes up in the preparation for Euro 2012?
England’s next match is against Norway @ Wembley in 10 days time.
So from the Norwegian team selected, we’ll probably have a good indication on who Roy favours for the first Euro12 match against France on the 11th June?
Oh don’t foget, Roy will hold a press conference @ 2pm this afternoon, to explain his squad selection.
