Suddenly it is an important trophy to win

Now for the “genuine” Gunners fans I’m happy for ’em, no really I am, winning The FA Cup is a wonderful achievement in every-way.

The oldest cup competition in the world, starting in August of the previous year a festival of football were the lowly teams including non-league clubs do have their day in the sun.

Last season when my local club deservedly beat the richest club on the planet to have a new name etched into history the media decried the victory stating it was all about the Champions League and the “EPL” and that a tin pot cup was not really a priority for such BIG ©lubs like Manchester City.

Roll on twelve months and The FA Cup is now a prestigious artefact to have adorned in your trophy cabinet, funny that, now that one of the elite have won it.

It was always how we can revive the competition to its past glories, now it is an endearing much loved family heirloom.

Obviously one rule for one and one rule for others, why I’m I not surprised ?
