These words and many more have been uttered on social media sites as yet another tedious gossip column tweets out the rumour that Chelsea have made their five millionth bid of the summer for young Victor, a mere ten pence more than their 4,999,999th bid. Here at TNS we just want it over and done with. Either Put up or shut up. it’s not like that Abramovich chap can only afford to go out on a Tuesday because it’s cheap steak night at Wetherspoons is it?

But let’s think of the player, poor, troubled Victor – what must be going through his mind right now as he weighs up his career options?
